The Management of University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku/Ozalla, Enugu, has commissioned an ultra- modern filling station in the hospital. The event took place today, February 23, 2023.
While commissioning the filling station, the Chief Medical Director, Professor Obinna Onodugo said that is a collaborative project between the UNTH Ventures and Groban Limited, the operator of the filling station.

He thanked the Managing Director of Groban limited, Chief Afam Udeani for his willingness to partner with the hospital. Prof. Onodugo also praised the sterling qualities of Chief Udeani for his support to the hospital. He further promised Chief Udeani that the filling station will be patronize by members of the hospital community. On the benefit of the venture, Prof. Onodugo reinstated that it will put more  money into the coffers of UNTH.

In a Chat with UNTH News, on what motivated him to partner with UNTH, the Managing Director of Groban Limited said that he wanted to meet the yearning of the CMD “to alleviate the pains and inconveniences staff go through to fuel their vehicles, and today, the dream has materialized”.

He assured the hospital community that the filling station has enough stock of premium motor spirit (PMS) and diesel fuel, also known as diesel oil.
In his vote of thanks, the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (C-MAC), Prof. Val Ugwu thanked Chief Udeani for being a dependable ally of UNTH in the infrastructural development of the hospital.

The programme which was anchored by Mr. Uchelue Boniface, Head, Public Relations Unit,  witnessed the presence of dignitaries like Prof. Val Ugwu, (C’MAC), Mr. Jerry Nwankwo, Director of Adminstration, Deputy CMAC(s), Associate Professor Brenda Nwatu, Dr. Obinna Okwesili.  Also at the occasion were  Prof. Tagbo Oguonu, Head Accident and Emergency, Dr. Chinwe Obiekwe, Head, Physiotherapy, Mrs. Ugwuoke, Head, Nursing Services, Dr. Nkiru Onodugo, Head, Haematology amongst others.

The highlights of the occasion was the free fuel bonanza given out to about 10 vehicles by management of the filling station and immediate dispensing of fuel to motorists who patronized the filling station.
