The University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku/Ozalla, Enugu, has recorded another landmark achievement with the repair of some damaged critical equipment in the hospital.
The areas affected by this repair works included the Theatre, CSSD and the Laundry Section, where the Autoclave, Washing Machines and Driers were rectified.

In an interview with the D C(MAC) in charge of Theatre an In Patient, Dr Nkiru Nwachukwu, who spoke on behalf of the C(MAC), Prof. Joy Eze, described the innovation as a welcome development to the Laundry Section and the hospital at large. According to her, “With these machines repaired, laundry activities will be seamless and less cumbersome for the operators.

She went further to appreciate the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Obinna Onodugo, for his timely intervention to getting the machines repaired, and was certain
that the effort will go a long way in boosting productivity and effective services delivery in the aforementioned areas.

It can be recalled that these equipment have been vandalized and left unfixed for over a decade.

The contract for the job was executed by Engr. Rasaqi and teams- BIG BLOCK CONSTRUCTION COMPANY.
