The Non-Academics Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), has conferred the award of “Most Labour Friendly and Excellence” on the Chief Medical Director, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Ituku/Ozalla, Enugu, Prof. Obinna Onodugo

The award was presented as part of the events during their “2ND REGULAR MEETING” of the Union,
held at the Senior Staff Cafeteria of the Hospital between Thursday and Friday, 10th and 11th October, 2024.

On the occasion, the Deputy National Secretary of the Union, Comrade Emma Okonkwo, who represented the National Secretary said that CMD was chosen because of his courage to embark on projects that have positively impacted on the welfare of Staff.

Expressing his delight, Prof. Onodugo applauded the Union for the honour and promised to continue delivering quality services to humanity.

Speaking further, he said, “the Union should in addition to protecting their members, ensure they are also being monitored to ensure they are discharging their official duties”.

Earlier during a Courtesy Call on the Chief Medical Director, in his office, the UNTH Branch Chairman of NASU, Comrade Alamba Ugochukwu Jarrick who was in company of the National Executive, thanked the UNTH Management for its Support and cooperation to ensure the success of the Meeting.

Other UNTH branch executive Officers in attendance include, Comrade Ifeanyi Nze, Secretary, Comrade Amaka Eze, Treasurer and the immediate past Chairman, Comrade Chris Ogor.
