According to Steve Jobs, “innovation distinguishes the leader from the led”.

In the spirit of the above, the Chief Medical Director, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku/Ozalla, Enugu, Prof. Obinna Onodugo, today, 5th February, 2025, commissioned the rehabilitated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Center at the hospital.

While introducing the project to the CMD and other guests for commissioning, the Managing Director, Dunon Synergy Projects, Engr. Uche Kezie, thanked the management of the UNTH for the contract and stated that the center, which is powered by Solar Energy, is a one hundred computer capacity hall that can host e-learning, e-conferences, ICT-based tests, etc. In his words, “the center is fully fortified to handle every information and communication needs of the hospital. More so, CCTV cameras have been installed at different locations in the facility for optimal security purposes”.

In an address before the commissioning, the CMD applauded the effort of the contractor in ensuring early completion of the project and gave assurance that the facility will provide excellent services to the hospital community and also connect it to the entire world.
Speaking further, he said, “the facility will be used for seminars, training sessions, management retreats, and more. The complex will soon transform into a more sophisticated ICT center”.

The occasion was graced with the presence of the Chairman Medical Advisory Committee, Prof. Joy Eze, the Director of Administration, Mrs. Uche Obi, the Acting Director of Finance, Mr. Emmanuel Okoro, the SSA/Head of PPMO, Dr. Obinna Okwesili, the Deputy CMACs, Heads of Department, and other members of the UNTH community.
