In a bid to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku/Ozalla, Enugu, the Management of the hospital has inaugurated the UNTH INFECTION, PREVENTION, AND CONTROL (IPC) TEAM for effective infection prevention and control in the hospital.

In a Circular letter dated 11th June, 2025, and signed by the Director of Administration, Mrs. Uche Obi, stated that the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Team shall be responsible for the day-to-day implementation and monitoring of UNTH IPC program.

The team lead is Dr. Kachy Ugwa (IPC Focal Person), while other members are:
