STAIRS-UNTH Project Marks World Sepsis Day with Awareness Campaign in Enugu

The STAIRS-UNTH Project Nigeria joined the global community on September 13, 2025, to commemorate World Sepsis Day with a series of awareness activities across selected locations in Enugu State. The campaign featured educational messages from project members, all aimed at enlightening the public on what sepsis is and why it remains a major health concern.

A key highlight was the road march outreach, which drew attention in different neighborhoods and created space for meaningful interaction with residents. Community members responded with enthusiasm, asking questions, sharing concerns, and receiving clear guidance on how to recognize and respond to sepsis. It is emphasized that such awareness drives are crucial in the fight against sepsis, as prevention and timely action can save lives. Members of STAIRS-UNTH Project Nigeria were at their best in attendance and performance; the outing was indeed a great success.
