FASTCARE TELECLINIC (VIRTUAL CONSULTATION) NOW IN USE IN UNTH
The management of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Ituku-Ozalla in partnership with the Health Station Limited has rolled out the FastCare Teleclinic (virtual consultation) platform.
While sensitizing the masses on the innovation, the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Prof. Obinna Onodugo, said “the laudable initiative became imperative as the world which has since become a global village embraces the virtual consultation platforms as acceptable means of increasing healthcare access and achieving universal health coverage, thus improving global health of populations, particularly the unreached”.
Speaking further, he said, “the strategy does not in any way replace visits to the hospital for physical consultations but would complement them in enhancing excellent healthcare services in line with global best practices”.
