The Chairman Medical Advisory Committee C(MAC), UNTH, Ituku/Ozalla, Prof. Joy Eze, has charged the Staff of the Public Relations Unit to continue discharging their duties in accordance with the Public Service Rule. She made the call on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 when she visited the office during the Departmental Monthly Meeting.

The Professor of Pediatrics expressed delight at the positive impacts being made by the Unit in projecting the landmark development and achievements in the hospital to the world. She encouraged the staff to remain dedicated to their duties while embracing the spirit of self-aspirations and development.

She also advocated for teamwork ethics among the ranks and cadres in the Unit, stressing that everyone should develop the spirit of impacting knowledge and the willingness to learn.

Speaking further, she said, “Personal discipline, goal setting, and doggedness in the face of harsh and discouraging conditions have helped me to succeed. I encourage you staff to develop the attitude of good financial planning and prudence, which will lead you to a happy future”.

In his response, the Head of Public Relation Unit, Mr. Boniface Uchelue expressed his gratitude to C-MAC for making time from her busy schedules to honour the invitation. He said that the wonderful words of encouragement and solidarity will spur the Unit into more action to contribute to the growth and development of the hospital.

Prof. Joy Eze was presented with a gift item by the Head of the Unit and Chief Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Mr. Uchelue Boniface, and flanked by Chief Public Relations Officers Ugwuoke Felix and Okoruwa Patrick.

Other members of staff who spoke during the meeting also commended the C-MAC on her sterling motherly qualities and administrative acumen.
