Aware of the risks, dangers, and significant challenges that Healthcare Associated Infections, (HAIs), present to patients safety and quality care provided at UNTH, the Management of the hospital has constituted and inaugurated the UNTH INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (IPC) MONITORING COMMITTEE.

In a circular dated 11th June, 2025, and signed by the Director of Administration, Mrs. Uche Obi, it was clearly expressed that the Monitoring Committee is responsible for guiding, overseeing, and supporting the facility’s IPC program of the hospital.

The Chairman of the Committee is Dr. Nwachukwu Nkiru, (Deputy Chairman, MAC). Other members are:
