UNTH MANAGEMENT INAUGURATES OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMITTEE

In line with the Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Guidelines of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, UNTH Management has inaugurated the Occupational Health and Safety Committee in the hospital. This Committee is charged with a mandate to institutionalise the OHS guidelines tailored to the work environment (hospital)

During the inauguration ceremony on Thursday, 13th March, 2025, at the Office of the Chairman Medical Advisory Committee, the CMAC, Prof Joy Eze, who represented the CMD, Prof. Obinna Onodugo, said that the aim of inaugurating the committee is to ensure the occupational health and safety of staff and patients in the hospital community.
The fifteen-man committee, which is headed by a Professor of Community Health, Prof. Emmanuel Aguwa, has its members drawn from various departments and specialties in the hospital.
