The Management Team of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku/Ozalla, Enugu, paid a working visit to the institution’s outpost in Abagana yesterday, 5th June, 2025. The visit aimed to assess the state of the facilities and health care services being provided and interact with the staff.

During the visit, the management of UNTH, who were represented by the Chairman Medical Advisory Committee, Prof. Joy Eze, and the Director of Administration, Mrs. Uche Obi, inspected the facilities, met with staff, and engaged with elders of Abagana Community (the President General of Abagana Town Union, Engr. Ben Okongwu (Ugbana Abagana), and members of the traditional ruler’s council led by Ichie Ekene Ezekwueche (Ogidi Abagana). The discussion bordered on ways of improving the quality of service, infrastructure, and community engagement in the facility.

The visit reinforced the institution’s commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the community and other neighbouring towns and villages in the locality.
