UNTH Partners with Federal Government for Advanced Cancer Treatment Facilities
Today Friday the 22nd day of March 2024, the Chief Medical Director of UNTH, Prof Obinna Onodugo, signed a tripartite agreement with the Ministry of Health and the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (technical partners), for the Federal Government assisted deployment of a brand new, state of the arts, Radiotherapy treatment facility (Linear Accelerator and accessories), in six teaching hospitals across the nation.

This is part of the efforts of the Federal Government towards the treatment of a growing number of Nigerians battling the cancer scourge. This will in no small way complement what UNTH has on the ground and will bring a lot of relief to the numerous patients.
Recall that the Federal Government had previously designated UNTH a center of excellence in cancer treatment.
The management of UNTH expressed her deep appreciation to the Ministry and the Federal Government for this laudable gesture.
