The School of Health Information Management, UNTH, Enugu, recently wrapped up its 2025 Annual Students’ Week, and it was a resounding success! The week-long event, themed “Improving Healthcare Services through Standardisation of Legal and Ethical Aspects of Health Information Management Practice,” brought together students and other professionals to explore the importance of standardization in healthcare.

The celebration was hosted by the UNTH Management and the school authority. The Ag Principal, Miss Nneka Okonkwo, led other staff of the school to the occasion which featured a range of activities, including a keynote address by Mr. Sylvester Diken, Vice Principal, School of Health Information Management, National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu.

 

Comrade Rosemary Ugwu (JP), NLC Women Chairperson, Enugu State, chaired the event and emphasized the need for standardization in healthcare.

The UNTH Management was represented by the head of Public Relations, Mr. Boniface Uchelue. The students showcased their talents through various performances, including music, dance, and drama.

The event highlighted the critical role of health information management in improving healthcare services. With the theme resonating throughout the event, attendees were left in no doubt about the importance of standardization in ensuring quality healthcare delivery.
