COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCES, UNTH ENUGU, HOLDS 2025/26 MATRICULATION CEREMONY

The College of Nursing Sciences, UNTH, Enugu, held its 2025/26 matriculation ceremony for BNSc students on April 9, 2026. The event, which took place on the College premises, was a day of jubilation as parents, well-wishers, and esteemed guests gathered to witness the matriculation of the new students.

Attendance included the Chief Medical Director, UNTH Enugu, Prof. Obinna Onodugo, ably represented by the CMAC, Dr. Charles Nonyelu; the Provost, College of Nursing Sciences, Prof. Mrs. Agnes Anarado; Deputy Provost, College of Nursing Sciences, Mrs. Lucy Anukwe; Registrar of the College, Dr. Mrs. Onyia Ngozi; Head, Department of Nursing, Mrs. Chukwu Ebere; DCMAC, Radiological Services and Laboratory Services, Dr. Ifeyinwa Nwafia; and other dignitaries.


In her welcome address, the Provost, Prof. Mrs. Agnes Anarado, charged the students to be focused on their nursing careers, emphasizing that “Nursing is not just a career but a calling.”
The Keynote Speaker, Dr. Peace Iheanacho, urged the students to uphold ethical principles in their daily endeavors. Dr. Charles Nonyelu, representing the Chief Medical Director, advised the students on discipline and morality.


The highlight of the ceremony was the matriculation oath-taking by the new students, marking their official induction into the College of Nursing Sciences community.
Emeritus Ven. Prof. Ernest Onwuasoigwe, in his goodwill message, enjoined the students to be of good behavior.
The Deputy Provost, Mrs. Lucy Anukwe, thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the ceremony.
