The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) Enugu State Zonal Office, yesterday, February 25, 2026, inaugurated its unit known as Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Ituku/Ozalla, Enugu.

Receiving the delegation at the Hospital’s Board Room, the Director of Administration, Mrs. Uche Obi, who represented the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Obinna Onodugo, welcomed the team and assured them of the hospital’s cooperation.

HANDING OVER OF THE IEC MATERIALS TO THE MANAGEMENT BY THE ICPC TEAM LEAD

The establishment of the ICPC Unit in the hospital aims to ensure effective service delivery and curb irregularities and anti-social vices among hospital staff.

The four-man team comprised Mr. Nuhu Gabriel, Assistant Commissioner; Mr. Douglas Oditan, SSRD; Barr. Akaa Uche, Legal; and Miss Ibeh Kelechi, Head of P&E.

OATH TAKING BY THE NEWLY INAUGURATED ACTU MEMBERS

The ICPC inaugurated a four-man committee comprising hospital staff from various departments, including Ani Ezra Okwudili, ADMSLS, Chairman, Mrs. Oraguzie Charity Oluchi, Assistant Director/Head of Internal Audit, Okorie Eucharia Obiageli, Chief Procurement Officer, and Mr. Okwor Kelvin Ejiofor, Deputy Director in Accounts Department.

The team leader, Mr. Nuhu Gabriel, thanked the hospital management for their warm reception and assured them of the ICPC’s cooperation in ensuring an effective and efficient unit in the hospital community.

Highlights of the inauguration included the oath-taking ceremony, official handover of the UNTH ICPC unit, and a lecture on the fundamental objectives of the initiative.

The ICPC team visited UNTH to inaugurate the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU).
