NATIONAL EMERGENCY AND OPERATIONAL COMMITTEE OF W.H.O VISITS UNTH

The Management of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku/Ozalla, Enugu, yesterday, 18th September 2024, played host to the National Emergency and Operational Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO).
The Committee which earlier paid a Courtesy Call to the UNTH Management, comprises of Committee members from National, State, Local Government Area and the UNTH.

In his address to the Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (D C(MAC)), in charge of Theatre and Impatient, Dr Nkiru Nwachukwu, who represented the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Obinna Onodugo, the team Lead, Dr. Chukwumuanya Igboekwu thanked the Management for the warm welcome and stated that the team was in UNTH to carry out what he described as PEP Supportive Supervision.
In his words, “this visit is mutual and will help sustain effective health delivery exercise to the Hospital”.

In her response, Dr. Nwachukwu expressed optimism that UNTH will continue to live up to expectation in its collaboration with WHO and gave assurance of the Management’s maximum cooperation.
The Team was escorted on the Courtesy Call by the Head of Health Visiting Unit, Mrs Ezealadikibe, the Head of Health Information Management, Mr Aliche and others.
