Security in the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku/Ozalla, Enugu, has received a boost following the installation and commissioning of a High Tech CLOSE-CIRCUIT TELEVISION (CCTV) SECURITY SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM.

in a brief ceremony organised by the Management of the Hospital on Tuesday, 13th August, 2024 to commission the project, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Obinna Onodugu, highlighted the
importance of security to the lives of patients, members of staff and the entire material resources within the Hospital Community, as an issue everyone must take seriously.

He thanked Dunon Synergy, the company that handled the project, and charged them to ensure the system works optimally.
Continuing he said, “I encourage everyone to be vigilant and report strange movements to the Chief Security Officer of the hospital.
The installation of the CCTV Surveillance system is to help monitor the hospital environment, with the aim to forestall any security breach in the hospital.”

In a vote of thanks, the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, C(MAC), Prof. Joy Eze expressed her gratitude to the Chief Medical Director for his efforts towards securing lives and properties in the hospital, and to the Chief Security Officer (CSO), Mr. Cletus Orji and his security team, the Heads of Departments and every member of the Hospital community for their positive cooperation with the hospital’s Management on security. She also thanked Dunon Synergy for providing the equipment and gadgets.

Barnabas Osuagwu, stated that “the purpose of the installation of the CCTV is to enable management and all concerned to maintain a “round the clock” security check of the hospital’s environment. act accordingly”. In his word, “the project is a good step in the right direction, towards the security of the entire hospital”
